What you can sell
Most people who sell gold with us bring jewellery that is no longer worn: chains with broken clasps, single earrings, rings that no longer fit, designs that have gone out of fashion, or pieces inherited from family. Condition matters far less than you might think — what determines the value is the purity of the gold and its net weight.
If you are unsure whether a particular item can be valued, call +91 90086 78434 and describe it to our team before you visit.
How your gold is valued
The amount offered for your gold is worked out from four things:
- Purity. Checked on a gold testing machine. Purity is expressed in karats — 24K is about 99.9% gold, 22K about 91.6% and 18K about 75%.
- Net gold weight. Only the gold itself counts. Stones, beads, wax fillings, enamel and other non-gold parts are excluded.
- The prevailing gold rate on the day of the transaction.
- Applicable deductions, which our team explains before you decide.
Because of these factors, the per-gram rate you see published anywhere — including on this website — is a starting point, not the final figure for a specific piece. Read more about how gold rates and purity work.
Why the testing method matters
When choosing where to sell, ask how purity will be checked. Crude methods such as rubbing gold on a touchstone can damage the piece and are less precise. We check purity using a gold testing machine, and you are welcome to ask our team to explain the process and the result.
What to bring
You must be over 18 and the owner of the gold. Bring the original purchase invoice if you have it. If not, bring any two documents that together show your photo ID and current residential address — for example your Aadhaar card with a PAN card, passport, driving licence or voter ID. See the full list of accepted documents.
What happens at the branch
- Our team completes KYC using your documents.
- Your gold is weighed and its purity is checked on the testing machine.
- The valuation is explained: purity, net weight, the rate and any deductions.
- You decide. If you accept, payment is made — bank transfer is available.
There is no obligation to sell once your gold has been valued. For the step-by-step detail, see how it works.
Selling gold that is pledged?
If your gold is currently pledged with a bank, pawnbroker or NBFC, it can still be released and sold. See release pledged gold for how that works.
